Aeolus Detachable Anchor Suction Cup (12cm), a popular heavy-duty accessory often used in professional pet grooming or for securing cargo.
Here is a breakdown of what makes this specific tool a go-to for many:
Key Features
-
Large Diameter: The 12cm (approx. 4.7 inches) base provides a wide surface area, creating a much stronger vacuum seal than standard household suction cups.
-
Detachable Design: The “detachable” aspect usually refers to the anchor point or the ability to easily engage/disengage the suction mechanism via a lever, making it portable and easy to clean.
-
Heavy Duty: Designed to hold significant weight (often up to 10-20kg depending on the surface), its commonly used to tether pets to grooming tubs or tables without drilling holes.
-
Non-Invasive: It works on any smooth, non-porous surface like stainless steel, glass, or polished tile.
Common Uses
-
Pet Grooming: Securing a grooming noose in a bathtub to keep a dog from jumping out.
-
Camping/Travel: Acting as a side anchor for car awnings or securing luggage.
-
Home Utility: Hanging heavy items on glass or tile where you cant use screws.
Pro-Tip for Best Suction
To ensure it doesn’t pop off at the worst moment:
-
Clean both surfaces: Use rubbing alcohol to remove grease from both the rubber base and the mounting surface.
-
A little moisture: A tiny drop of water on the rim can sometimes help create a tighter seal, but don’t overdo it!
