Description

The UBPet F10 Smart Refrigerated 5-Meal Auto Pet Feeder is a specialized device designed primarily for wet food management. Unlike traditional timed feeders that rely on frozen gel packs, the F10 uses active semiconductor refrigeration to keep food fresh for up to 24 hours.

Key Features & Technology

  • Active Semiconductor Cooling: It uses a built-in refrigeration chip (similar to a mini-fridge) rather than ice packs. It offers 3 cooling levels to adjust based on ambient temperature.

  • 5-Meal Capacity: Features a rotating tray with 5 separate compartments. You can schedule up to 4 of these to open automatically (the 5th is usually the “initial” meal).

  • Wet & Dry Compatibility: While optimized for wet food, it also supports dry kibble, freeze-dried treats, milk, and even medication.

  • Whisker-Friendly Design: The tray is shallow and wide to prevent “whisker fatigue,” making it more comfortable for cats to eat.

  • Easy Maintenance: The top cover and the food-grade PP tray are both removable and dishwasher safe.

Important Considerations

  • Cooling Limitations: It is a refrigerated feeder, not a freezer. In very hot environments (above 35C), it may struggle to keep food chilled below 20C.

  • Indoor Use Only: It is designed for indoor environments between 0C and 35C.

  • Condensation: Because it uses active cooling, some water or frost may form near the base. Users are advised to wipe the unit down periodically.

  • Memory Function: It typically saves meal and refrigeration data for about 30 minutes during a power outage; however, it lacks a long-term battery backup for the refrigeration system.

Common User Feedback

“The cooling chip is a life-saver for wet food compared to ice packs that melt in 4 hours. However, the fan can be audible in a quiet room, and the rotation mechanism needs to be kept clear of food debris to prevent jams.”
