The Hunter Fun Bone (often referred to as the Hunter TPR Bone) is a versatile chew and fetch toy designed by the German brand Hunter, known for high-quality pet accessories. It is specifically crafted for dogs who need a mix of dental care and active play.
Key Features
-
Material: Made from TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber). This material is soft on the gums but highly durable and flexible, making it resistant to weather and wear.
-
Dental Health: The surface features small protrusions and nubs that help massage the gums and gently clean teeth as your dog chews.
-
Water-Friendly: One of its standout features is that it floats, making it an excellent choice for fetch at the beach or pool.
-
Internal Options: Some models are hollow or have openings, allowing you to fill them with treats or pastes to keep your dog mentally engaged.

Is it right for your dog?
-
Puppies & Seniors: Excellent. The TPR material is forgiving and provides a satisfying “squish” that won’t damage developing or aging teeth.
-
Moderate Chewers: Great. It is designed to be tough, but it’s not “indestructible” for extreme power-chewers (like a determined Pitbull or Malinois).
-
Active Dogs: Perfect for those who love to retrieve, especially in water.
Note: Always supervise your dog during playtime. While TPR is durable, no toy is completely indestructible. If you notice any pieces breaking off, replace the toy immediately to avoid a choking hazard.
